And you want to supplement it to lower the cost.
This can either comfort or terrify you. Most of us live somewhere between "blissful ignorance" and "total annoyance" at the need for power companies to keep our homes comfortable and well-lit. If you are looking to lower your monthly bill, you have found the best option! The Dynamiq™ wind turbine can supplement and sometimes totally replace your power bill depending upon the wind situation in your area.
If you live in a place where the wind never stops blowing, this is a no-brainer; you'll actually be kicking more power back to the power company (but don't expect a Thank You letter) and in most cases they give you a credit for the power you sent them. It's called "net metering" and when YOU need the power, the meter allows your home to draw from the grid.
01Where is it going?
You have decided to purchase a turbine! You will need:
1- to pour a 9' by 9' 7" thick, reinforced cement pad,
2- (optional) a fence (not solid) around the perimeter to keep out any curious species,
3- a trench dug from your main utility power panel to the turbine to run the electrical conduit (SEE POINT 1 BELOW)
02how will it get there?
The turbine is installed along with the generator.
If you have opted to run the conduit and take care of the rest of the installation yourself, great! Let us know if / when we can be of service.
After your turbine is installed and the lines are run to the inverter, you will have:
1- to fill out a net metering application with your local utility.
2- have a licensed electrician hook a compatible inverter up to the main utility power.
3- the power company install the "net" meter.
